On September 23rd, 2010 the painting “SID” was auctioned at Gambado by the “Shooting Stars Foundation” in Vancouver BC.
It was a fundraising event to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS.
The painting “Sid” shows Sidney Crosby at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver BC 2010, when he scored the game-winning goal for Canada in overtime.
Steve Yzerman describes this moment as one of Sidney´s playing qualities: … he´s added a wrist shot coming down the wing, a one time in the power play.
